Approaching Widdop

This sunrise was inspired by my dawn trips ‘over the tops’ from Colne to Hebden Bridge Market. On this particular morning I actually shouted out with joy at how stupendous it was and pulled over to take some photographs as an aide-memoir for a painting. However, ultimately it is the memory of the event that influences and characterises the final painting more.
